you cannot bet more than this $50.
To get a better understanding of this, if you have chosen to raise a players bet, you need to be aware that your call element is already in the pot, which means if the pot stands at $50
and your opponent places an open bet of $50 the maximum bet you can therefore place is $150.

The final type of betting structure is the No Limit variety, this is the big boy of the Poker world and many fortunes are both won and lost playing this type of Poker game.
In a No Limit game there are, as the name suggest, no limits to how much you can bet in any round of betting, so therefore playing this type of game is definitely not for the faint hearted!

Stakes - The stakes are always directly related to the game you have chosen to play. So in a Fixed Limit game the stakes will always be dictated by the bet and raise amount for each round.
Cap - When playing a Fixed Limit game, every round of betting will always have a bet that consists of a maximum number of
raises which is three, this is known as the Cap. Therefore if a bet has been placed it can only ever be raised three times, after these raises all players must either call or fold their hand
except when only two players are left in a game, in such circumstances the Cap is increased to five.
Blinds - These are simple compulsory wagers that two players must place to start a game, before any cards are dealt.
