To play Omaha poker: Each player is given four cards: 'hole cards,' which the player then keeps. Five 'public cards are then dealt face up on the table. The player then uses three of the public cards along with two of their own cards to make the best possible poker hand.
Betting: As in the case with Texas Holdem is done by using the following actions. These are: raise, call, bet, check and fold. The options available depends on the what the player before has done. The player always has the option to fold or give up the pot. Once a player has bet, the next player can then fold, raise or call. The call is to match the amount the first player has bet, to raise is to match then increase the bet.
The Flop: Once the first round has finished, the three public cards are revealed, this is known as the flop. These public cards are only available to active players.
The Pre Flop: After the players cards have been seen, each player has the option to make an action: raising or calling. As above, to raise is to match the bet and increase it or call is just to match.
The turn: Once betting actions have finished the 'turn,' the fourth public card is dealt.
The River: After betting is complete, the 'river' is the fifth and final public card to be dealt. Once this is dealt, betting then starts again, starting with the active player who is clockwise from the dealer.
The Showdown: When the betting is complete and the last person has committed their action, the player clockwise to the dealer shows their cards. Omaha players can only use two cards from their hole cards and two cards from the public cards. The player that wins the pot is the one with the best 5 card hand.
