Pokerstars - 8-Game Mix:
Since the introduction of the poker game HORSE, mixed games have become prevalent. With 8 Game Mix players have the opportunity to play these different types of poker games:
Limit 2-7 Draw: A different version of lowball poker. It is different from games like Hold'em as it is the lowest hand that wins the pot.
Limit Holdem: In Limit Holdem, players are limited on the amount they can bet on each of the four betting rounds.
Limit Omaha Eight or Better (Hi/Lo): The high/Low version of Omaha. A split pot game, where the pot is split between the highest and lowest hand at the table. You win the entire pot if you happen to have both the highest and lowest portion of the hand.
Razz: A form of 'Stud' poker played for an Ace- Five low. The purpose of the game is to make the lowest possible five card hand from the seven cards dealt.
Limit Seven Card Stud: In Limit Seven Card Stud, the betting limits are set at particular amounts. The limit betting arrangement caps the number of raises.
Limit Stud Eight or Better (Hi/Lo): A split pot game played with two to eight players which has set limits. Each player is dealt a total of seven cards, three of them face down, and the other four face up.
No Limit Holdem: The game consists of two cards being dealt face down to each player and five cards being placed face-up for every player to see. Players attempt to control the amount of money in the pot based on what they think their opponents may be holding.
Pot Limit Omaha: Players are dealt four cards. Players make the best hand using two of these cards and three of the five public cards. Players can bet an amount equivalent to what is in the pot.
How to Play 8-Game Mix:
The game is played with six players and changes every six hands. The first six games are Limit 2-7 Draw, follows by Limit Holdem e.t.c. When Pot limit Omaha has finished, the game goes back to Limit 2-7 Draw and starts over again. The 8-Game mix is popular amongst PokerStars professionals as well as regular poker players. Marketing codes are available for players to use to obtain free bonuses at the PokerStars site.
